Mayor

Matti Ruotsalainen has been the Mayor of Kemi since 11th of January 2021. The Mayor is responsible for the actions of the council’s executive committee and acts as its representative. The Mayor is also responsible for preparing different matters for the council’s executive committee.  

The council inspector works under the direct supervision of the Mayor.
